Each BrainTap audio-session guides you through a full-spectrum of brainwave training produced by light, sound and vibration. The technology is based on a science known as frequency following response, which refers to the brain’s natural tendency to follow rhythms and frequencies. When the headset produces a specific frequency that matches a brainwave frequency, the brain will naturally follow it and subsequently produce that brainwave.
The headset uses pulsed tones and gentle pulses of light to simulate both the lower frequency of alpha brainwaves and the very deep meditative state of theta (3 to 7.5 Hz).
